Dear Dr. Hayes,....I don't know how I can ever thank you enough for allowing me to move again, pain free. I'd had back pain for many years and been treated with pain medication and steriod injections. Most of the time, these methods worked quite well; enough so that I could at least function. Then in July the pain started again and neither the pain medication nor the steriod injections worked. The pain got progressively worse until I could hardly walk. Finally, in mid November, the orthopedic doctor referred me to you. After looking at all my test results,x-rays and MRIs, you immediately recognized that I would need surgery. You explained to my husband and me that if the pressure on the nerves to my legs was not relieved soon, the damage to them could be permanent and I could loose my ability to walk. I'm especially grateful for the fact that when in your office we always had your complete attention and that you took the time to answer all of our questions. Your staff set to work and made all the necessary pre-op appointments for me. My operation was on December 1st and I am walking pain free for the first time in months. Arrangements were also made for post-op home health care, which has been wonderful. I'ts taken a lot of the stress off my husband and I reallyappreciate the assistance. I still move a little slowly but I see daily improvement and it's been less than 3 weeks. You are a wonderful, caring doctor and I feel very fortunate to have had you for my surgeon. Thanks again for everything ~ Judith N.
